DryTally App: Alcohol-Free Days Counter
Last updated 2026-10-24
DryTally: Alcohol-Free Days is a day counter for adults who want to quit drinking or cut down. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android. It has no account, sends nothing to us and keeps your log on your own device. It follows the same counting rules as the alcohol-free days counter and the alcohol tracker on this site.

What is different
- A drink never erases your history. Your current streak, your longest streak and your total alcohol-free days are always shown together. A drink resets the current streak only.
- Quit or cut down, in one flow. Count every day as alcohol-free unless you log a drink, or log each day yourself and set a weekly goal of alcohol-free days and standard drinks. The grams in a standard drink follow the country you choose.
- A free backup file you keep. Export an encrypted file with a passphrase you choose and keep it wherever you like. It restores on iPhone and on Android. The app reminds you when your last backup is old.
- Dates counted carefully. Time zones, daylight saving changes, leap days and back-dated start dates are handled by calendar arithmetic and checked against a fixed set of test cases.
- 26 languages, with the standard drink, currency and helplines matched to your country.
- A discreet mode that uses neutral wording on widgets and notifications.
- Help is always one tap away. The Get help tab is free, has no gate and lists SAMHSA in the US and Find a Helpline elsewhere.

Prices and subscription terms
- Yearly: a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. The price is the one shown in the store before you confirm.
- Lifetime: a one-time purchase, paid once. It does not renew. The price is the one shown in the store.
- There is no monthly plan.
- Purchases are made through the App Store (iPhone, iPad, Mac) or Google Play (Android) and charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account. Apple or Google, not DryTally, takes the payment and handles refunds under the store’s policy. A subscription on one store does not unlock the other.
- The yearly plan renews automatically at the end of each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If you do not cancel during the 7-day trial, the first year is charged when the trial ends.
- Cancel in the store: on iPhone, iPad and Mac open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions; on Android open Google Play, then Profile, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Pro stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Restore a purchase on a new device from the Pro screen or from Settings in the app.
- The app checks your purchase on your device with the store; we run no purchase server and never see your payment details.

Who it is for
The app is for adults (18 and over). It is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device. Read the disclaimer. If you drink every day or heavily, stopping suddenly can be dangerous: talk to a doctor first, and see Get help.
